Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesProvide nursing care in the Emergency Department, managing patients with diverse health conditions.Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, ensuring effective treatment for patients experiencing cardiac issues.Administer blood products and manage central lines, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.Perform phlebotomy and start IVs, demonstrating proficiency in these essential nursing skills.Administer continuous IV paralytics and sedation as required, monitoring patient condition closely.Effectively manage emergency medications and IV vasopressors, adhering to prescribed guidelines.Ensure compliance with isolation precautions and other safety protocols.Engage in procedural sedation administration and manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure.Float to other areas in the Emergency Department as needed when census requires.Work every other weekend as part of the regular schedule.QualificationsMinimum of 1 year of experience in an Emergency Department setting.Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS are required.Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement.Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage related clinical situations.Experience with Epic electronic health record system is preferred.Must be flexible to accommodate block scheduling as needed, though it cannot be guaranteed.Minimal restrictions on time off are accepted.Work EnvironmentShift requirements include night shifts, working three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:00). Ratios may be 1:5 with mixed/shared acuity levels. Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted, and pending licenses will not be accepted.Scrub ColorAny combination of navy and white scrubs is acceptable.
