Job Description
Title: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Nurse - CVICU RN

Schedule: Night Shift

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36

Requirements:
- Current State RN Licensure
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Recent open heart recovery nurse experience
- Ability to operate advanced medical equipment including A-lines, invasive lines, and chest tubes
- Experience in critical care and CVICU preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide care for hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients in a cardiac medical surgical unit.
- Offer physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural support to patients and their families.
- Assess and implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision.
- Act as a clinical leader and assist with precepting staff.
- Deliver direct patient care from admission to discharge, including discharge planning.
- Monitor patients for potential deteriorating conditions and intervene as necessary.
