Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care to telemetry patients, ensuring accurate monitoring and interpretation of cardiac data. Supervises nursing staff and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health status and relevant data related to cardiac telemetry.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans targeting cardiac monitoring outcomes.
• Operate and interpret telemetry equipment to detect arrhythmias and other cardiac issues.
• Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families about telemetry procedures, findings, and post-discharge care.
• Delegate appropriate tasks and supervise nursing staff to maintain high standards of care.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state.
• Minimum of two years recent experience in an acute care or telemetry unit.
• BLS certification from an approved vendor; ACLS certification required.
• Proficiency in operating and interpreting telemetry monitoring systems.
• Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
