Registered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Stepdown unit provides direct patient care to individuals with cardiac conditions, ensuring safety and promoting recovery. Under the supervision of the Unit Director, the RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality nursing services.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Provide patient education on treatment plans and post-discharge care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Supervise and mentor assigned clinical staff during shifts.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current Maine RN license.
• Possess BLS and ACLS certifications within 30 days of hire.
• Have telemetry experience preferred.
• Demonstrate strong communication and multitasking skills.
• Be a team player committed to compassionate patient care.
• Flexible scheduling availability.
