Location: Watertown, New York
Schedule: Full-Time | Evening Shift | 36 Hours per Week
Shift: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Weekend Requirement: Yes
Pay Range: $38.71 - $50.18 per hour ($80,516 - $104,375 annually)

Job Overview

A respected healthcare organization in Northern New York is seeking an MRI Technologist to join its growing Radiology Department. The MRI Technologist will perform diagnostic MRI procedures under the direction of a Radiologist while ensuring patient safety, image quality, and compliance with departmental standards. This role serves as a key point of contact for patients throughout the imaging process and plays an important role in delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and established protocols
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by Radiologists
• Verify patient information, medical history, and imaging requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records
• Adhere to all MRI safety standards and departmental procedures
• Assist with general Radiology Department operations as needed
• Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and healthcare team members
• Maintain equipment and report any operational concerns

Qualifications

Required

• Graduate of an accredited 24-month Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT Certification in Radiography
• New York State License in Radiologic Technology
• BLS Certification (or obtained within 3 months of hire)
• NYS IV Contrast Certification (or obtained within 6 months of hire)

Preferred

• Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience
• ARRT Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)
