Nonprofit Controller

We’re partnering with a nationally recognized nonprofit organization with a 40+ year legacy focused on education, cultural programming, and public safety awareness. This organization operates multiple initiatives that deliver impactful programming, thought leadership, and training at both a local and national level. With a strong reputation and mission-driven foundation, the organization is continuing to expand its reach and influence. Position Overview This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the Executive Director and working closely with the Board of Directors. You’ll own all financial operations across the organization, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, while serving as a strategic advisor on financial planning and long term sustainability. Key Responsibilities Oversee day to day financial operations including accounting, reporting, and compliance Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes Prepare and deliver financial reporting and insights to leadership Ensure accuracy across general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and financial systems Maintain compliance with audits, tax filings, and regulatory requirements Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and external partners Oversee grant tracking, reporting, and ensure compliance with funding requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field 6+ years of accounting experience Experience with SCFD/federal/state grants preferred Why This Role?
