Plumbing Operations Manager

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and skilled Residential Plumbing Operations Manager to oversee and manage our residential plumbing field operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Residential New Construction (RNC) Plumbing Installation, excellent leadership abilities, and a proven track record of achieving production goals while ensuring quality, safety, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Overseeing all residential plumbing operations within the organization. Managing plumbing projects from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, staffing, and budgeting. Ensuring projects meet specifications, timelines, quality standards, and financial targets. Supervising and coordinating daily activities of plumbing field teams. Conducting quality inspections to maintain high workmanship standards. Enforcing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and applicable codes. Maintaining strong relationships with customers, builders, contractors, vendors, and team members. Addressing customer concerns and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Providing estimates and assisting with job costing and budget management. Troubleshooting and resolving operational challenges to minimize delays and disruptions. Managing project documentation and preparing regular progress and performance reports. Recruiting, training, mentoring, and developing field personnel. Supporting company goals through leadership, accountability, and team development. Performing other duties as assigned. Qualifications 4-6 years of experience in plumbing operations, construction management, or a related field. Proven experience managing plumbing teams, projects, and field operations. Strong working knowledge of residential plumbing systems, equipment, materials, and installation best practices. Familiarity with applicable plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards. Excellent leadership and team management abilities. Strong organizational skills. Effective problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively in English, including reading, writing, and speaking. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with employees, customers, and business partners. Management experience preferred. Electrical or Plumbing Journeyman License preferred. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to successfully pass a pre‑employment background screening. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work is performed in both office and field environments, including active residential construction sites. Frequent travel between job sites is required. The candidate must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb stairs and ladders throughout the workday; safely navigate active construction sites and uneven terrain; occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; operate a motor vehicle for business‑related travel; and use computers, tablets, smartphones, and other office technology. Exposure to varying weather conditions, construction noise, dust, and other job site conditions is expected.
