Full-Time Experienced MachinistAustin's coolest 3D printing start-up, re:3D (re3d.org) is seeking assistance with our manufacturing operations in Austin. As a Lead Machinist you will be responsible for all aspects of producing 3D printer components, programming offline CAD/CAM, fixture design, CNC mill operations, scheduling production, and improving our quality and efficiencies. The ideal candidate is experienced managing and operating manufacturing facilities, creative, self-motivated team player who can work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and who is determined to create efficiency and ensure that our 3D printers manufactured are the best quality.ResponsibilitiesOffline CNC Mill programmingCNC Mill operationsFixture design and productionWorks on multiple projectsEstablishes and maintains effective team relationshipsFollows all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codesTrains production staff on new proceduresWork closely with product engineers & customer support to troubleshoot assembly problems and support product developmentQualificationsDemonstrates fluency with the use of precision hand toolsHigh school diploma or GED required; advanced education degree preferredMinimum 5 years of experience managing a manufacturing operationDemonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skillsPossesses communication & math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers and fractions and converting fractions to decimals and vice versa)Able to work well under pressure to output consistent, high-quality workAble to stand for long periods of timeAble to lift 50 or more poundsAble to use light power equipmentDemonstrates attention of detailCan provide referencesCould teach us a few things tooIs willing to learnHas an interest in 3D printing ('cause that's what we do!)Employment TermsType: Full-time hourly position up to 40hrs/wkCompensation: NegotiableThink you might be the person we're looking for?
