Remote position – must be in the greater Chicago area for customer needs 

Monday – Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm

About the team:

Within our organization, the Marketing and Sales team (M&S) is responsible for the strategic development and maintenance of our customer base. Work with a professional cross-functional team who will assist in the identification, development, and support to achieve an industry leading customer experience.

Account Representative Position Responsibilities:

• Business Development & Customer Relations - Develop and vet new opportunities, maintain and improve the value of existing business & customer relations in the designated territory based upon trade and regional sales plan objectives.
• Sales Plan - Create, execute, and deliver continuous improvement with focus toward improving revenue, contribution and customer value based upon trade, region, yield management.
• Bid & Contracts - Develop strategies, negotiate, prepare, and audit for accuracy. Implement and monitor performance in cooperation with trades, RSD's, cross functional colleagues & inside sales team.
• Admin, training, and travel & expenses– Meet assigned deadlines while managing compliance based upon OOCL standards and individual budget assignments.
• Other duties as assigned

Account Representative Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree
• 2-3 years of sales experience
• Prior outside sales, territory sales, or account management experience
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
• Ability to travel approximately 25%, or as needed

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint
• Adaptable with effective written and oral communication
• Organized, planner, ability to prioritize
• Ability to listen and help navigate sales
• Negotiation and interpersonal skills

The annualized base salary for this position ranges from $58,000.00 to $63,000.00 excluding fringe benefits.  If hired at OOCL, the final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience.  In addition to those factors, we also consider internal equity as part of any final offer.  Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.  All full-time employees enjoy these outstanding benefits, while in a safe, friendly, clean, business casual office environment.
