Staff Accountant

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Staff Accountant to join a growing organization during an exciting period of transformation and growth. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role will support day-to-day accounting operations while helping strengthen and scale the accounting function for the future. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Compensation: $60,000 - $72,000 Key Responsibilities Process accounts payable, including reviewing and coding vendor invoices, obtaining approvals, and initiating timely and accurate vendor payments. Process accounts receivable, including preparing and issuing customer invoices and receiving and applying customer payments in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain the fixed asset ledger, including recording additions and disposals, calculating depreciation, and reconciling to the general ledger. Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a regular basis, researching and resolving discrepancies. Assist with month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and supporting account analyses. Maintain organized, audit-ready supporting documentation for all transactions. Respond to vendor and customer inquiries, resolving billing and payment issues in a professional and timely manner. Support the implementation, enhancement, and day-to-day use of ERP and accounting systems. Assist with annual audit and tax preparation activities by preparing schedules and supporting documentation. Partner with the Accounting Manager to identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and support a scalable finance function. Support inventory-related accounting activities and other manufacturing accounting processes as needed. Assist with special projects and additional accounting responsibilities as the accounting function continues to evolve and grow. Ideal Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1-3+ years of accounting experience with a strong foundation in general ledger accounting and month-end close activities. Experience working in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred. Experience with inventory accounting and/or cost accounting preferred. Experience utilizing ERP systems in a manufacturing or operational environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the ability to analyze and reconcile accounting data accurately. CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA certification is a plus. Comfortable working in an evolving environment where processes, systems, and responsibilities continue to develop. Self-starter who takes initiative and enjoys contributing to continuous improvement efforts. High level of integrity and accountability. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage recurring deadlines. Clear written and verbal communication skills.
