Job Description:

POSITION TITLE: Admissions Assistant

Job Profile: 61830

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Under general supervision, the Admissions Assistant is responsible for: performing administrative, clerical, admissions and customer service duties in support of the Student Affairs Division at Ogeechee Technical College; responds to requests and needs of visitors and students; keeps abreast of admissions regulations, policies and procedures; provides information by telephone, written correspondence and in person to interested parties regarding applicant procedures and admissions requirements; maintains inventory of admissions materials; processes new student applications and related information and prepares student files; assists with special event planning and execution; coordinates campus visits and assists with group tours; monitors use of and maintains supplies and equipment; may assist with recruiting and marketing activities; may assist with registration duties; may supervise work study students, and other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* High School Diploma or equivalent

* One (6) months of work-related experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Associates degree

* Experience with the BANNER Student Information System
