As a Veterinary Receptionist, you'll often be the first and last person our clients interact with during their visit. You'll play an essential role in creating a welcoming experience, keeping the hospital organized, and helping our medical team provide efficient, thoughtful care.

What our Veterinary Receptionists do includes welcoming clients and patients with warmth, professionalism, and compassion, answering incoming calls and assisting clients with questions and scheduling needs, scheduling and confirming appointments while helping maintain an efficient hospital workflow, checking clients and patients in and out, processing payments and reviewing invoices with clients, maintaining accurate client and patient information, communicating clearly with clients regarding appointments, hospital services, and next steps, anticipating the needs of the veterinary team and helping promote efficiency throughout the hospital, collaborating with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and fellow receptionists, maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area, supporting clients during both routine visits and emotionally difficult situations, and jumping in and assisting teammates wherever needed.

What our Veterinary Receptionists bring includes previous veterinary reception experience, strong customer-service and communication skills, a compassionate and empathetic approach to clients, patients, and coworkers, ability to remain calm, friendly, and professional in a busy environment, strong organization, multitasking, and attention to detail, confidence using computers and learning veterinary software, dependable attendance and reliable work habits, a positive, supportive attitude and team-first mindset, willingness to ask questions, accept feedback, and continue learning, and genuine passion for pets and veterinary care.
