Your Role Involves

• Executing thorough patient evaluations, prescribing diagnostic evaluations, and creating tailored care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute or chronic illnesses collaboratively with physicians or independently as per your qualifications
• Informing patients and their families about prevention, wellness, and managing health conditions
• Prescribing necessary medications and therapies as authorized
• Engaging in patient follow-up and managing chronic conditions
• Working alongside interdisciplinary teams to provide integrated and comprehensive care
• Accurately documenting patient interactions in electronic medical record systems (EMR)

What You Need to Succeed

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree
• Graduation from a nationally accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications That Are Essential

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a comparable specialty
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to achieve within 90 days)
