Job Description
Title: RN - Med/Surg Oncology

Schedule:
- Shift: 3 x 12-hour nights

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks

Requirements:
- License: RN license in the state
- Certifications: BLS required
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year RN experience required
- Skills: Med/Surg nursing, peripheral line care/management, oxygen/airway management (including non-invasive), participation in rapid response/code teams, isolation precautions/PPE. Chemo administration experience preferred but not required.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatrics in a Med/Surg oncology unit.
- Manage and administer medications including chemotherapy as per protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Conduct assessments and monitor patient conditions, reporting any significant changes to the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, medications, and post-care instructions.

Compliance / Notes:
- Background checks required.
- All time-off requests must be submitted upfront; limited flexibility on scheduling.
- Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays if required: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day.
- Scrubs provided.
