Overview Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an Electrician, supporting TOS II, at Arnold AFB in Tullahoma, TN. The selected candidate will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for [e.g. operating and maintaining or supporting] the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts. The selected candidate for this requisition must be available to work any shift and shift determination will be made based on the priority of work at the time the selected candidate is cleared to report to work. Job Summary The successful candidate will under general supervision, perform technical, mechanical, electrical, and manual work in control rooms, operating, and/or assembly and shop areas of an engineering test facility. Supplementary Functions: Participation in functional specific safety training. Job Duties Checks out and prepares plant equipment and test facility equipment for operations Prepares test articles for testing Installs test articles and checks installations Troubleshoots equipment, test articles, and installations in case of malfunctions Operates plant and test equipment during tests Assists in tests and operates test articles such as controls for engines and rockets Removes test articles after test Installs and maintains facility systems Accomplishes maintenance and servicing work required to place and keep test facility equipment in operation Uses a wide variety of hand and machine tools, power equipment, measuring and testing equipment Instructs less experienced lower grade craftsmen It is a condition of employment to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy Performs other related duties as required Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Four years of electrician experience in the working section of an aeronautical test facility operation or six years of electrical experience in the trade Valid State Driver’s License Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English to safely understand and execute technical manuals, safety procedures, and operational instructions Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance and satisfy requirements for access to the AEDC local area network Current U.S. Citizenship is required due to Department of Defense security and federal contract requirements at AEDC Preferred Qualifications Active Secret clearance Must put forward professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation What We Offer Competitive salaries Continuing education assistance Multiple healthcare benefits packages 401K with employer matching Vacation and Sick Leave along with a federally recognized holiday schedule Who We Are Beyond New Horizons (BNH) is a fully populated joint venture of Astrion and Fluor Federal Services, Inc. formed to provide unmatched Test Operations and Sustainment services for the Arnold Engineering and Development Complex.
