Machine Maintenance Technician - 3rd ShiftThe Machine Maintenance Technician will complete preventative maintenance requirements (equipment, conveyor systems, production machines); performs minor repairs on HVAC, plumbing, and other aspects of the physical plant. LOCATION: Townsend, MA 01469 POSITION: Contract SCHEDULE: 3rd Shift - 11:00pm to 7:00am - Sun to Thurs PAY RATE: $25.00hr - 29.00hr - manager will decide DOEResponsible for maximizing production up time and high-quality products by ensuring machines and physical plant are operating at optimum levels.Completes preventative maintenance requirements (equipment, conveyor systems, production machines); performs minor repairs on HVAC, plumbing, and other aspects of the physical plant. Provides ongoing troubleshooting and repair of equipment. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devised in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring and testing instruments. Restores machine operations by diagnosing extent of repairs required, refitting, repairing, replacing parts, or making adjustments.Trains production employees in routine preventative maintenance techniques.Basic Qualifications:Education and Experience: HS/GED and 2 years experience or Tech Cert.Experience in maintenance in a production environment.Knowledge of machine tools.Basic electrical and electronic repair knowledge.Preferred Qualifications:Education and Experience: Mechanical, electrical and computer certification preferred.Ability to follow diagrams, schematics, manuals, instructions and engineering specifications.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong verbal communication skills.Experience with troubleshooting electromechanical equipment.
