Description
This specialist promotes the awareness and use of NOAA's tools, specifically focusing on the U.S. Climate Resilience Toolkit (CRT), while delivering training and educational resources.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop strategies to promote the CRT and present it directly to target end-user communities.
• Conduct face-to-face and telepresence training engagements, helping users build skills to manage climate-related risks.
• Establish "train-the-trainer" programs and relationships with regional climate centers.
• Provide formal classroom instruction, prepare educational handouts, and conduct pre- and post-course evaluations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of National Science Education Standards and essential climate literacy principles.

Required:

• BS/BA in relevant fields
• Proven experience (> 5 years) outreach and education
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Ability to understand science concepts and CPO educational goals and communicate to undergraduate and graduate audiences
• Familiarity with national science education standards and principles.

Preferred:

• Strong knowledge of NOAA outreach and education programs
• Previous experience in a similar capacity

• Strong foundation in ethical behavior, sound business judgment, and thorough research capabilities.
