SUMMARY OF WORK:

We are seeking a purpose-driven and self-motivated Human Resource Officer to complete the Human Resource Team. This is a great opportunity for a Human Resource professional looking to gain experience, expand their career knowledge, and/or obtain a rewarding career position. As our Human Resource Officer, you will be responsible for innovative and creative team member focused programs including recruitment and selection, leave, engagement/recognition, safety/wellness, and training. This position will collaborate with and provide guidance to OTAG staff to ensure team members and managers are knowledgeable about and comply with State, Federal, and Agency employment requirements.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. OTAG will not provide sponsorship.


Requires a bachelor's degree with a major in human resource management, business or public administration, management, industrial relations, organizational leadership, organizational behavior or closely related field. Work experience in human resources can substitute for the education requirement on a year for year basis.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred candidate will have Human Resources experience (position and/or internship), knowledge of or motivation to learn all areas of Human Resources; possession of HR Certification (aPHR, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CCP, etc.); have work experience in one of the functional areas within the SHRM BASK; and active participation in local Human Resource organizations such as local SHRM or ATD chapters.
