Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Architect with strong Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences analytics experience to lead the architecture, design, development, and modernization of enterprise BI and analytics solutions.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, semantic modeling, data warehousing, SQL, governance, and modern cloud data platforms , combined with strong knowledge of Pharma commercial, patient, market access, or omnichannel analytics.

This is a senior client-facing role requiring strong architecture, stakeholder management, technical leadership, and presentation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable enterprise Power BI solutions for reporting and analytics.

• Define BI architecture, semantic models, data models, KPI frameworks, and enterprise reporting standards.

• Design high-performing Power BI datasets and analytical models using DAX and Power Query .

• Lead Tabular Model and Semantic Layer architecture and design.

• Partner with Pharma business stakeholders, commercial teams, patient services teams, and technology leadership to translate requirements into analytical solutions.

• Design analytics solutions across Pharma commercial, patient, market access, field force, and omnichannel functions.

• Drive migration and modernization initiatives from legacy BI platforms to Power BI.

• Integrate Power BI with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Databricks, AWS, Redshift, or similar technologies .

• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) , governance, Power BI Service administration, and enterprise security standards.

• Establish CI/CD, deployment pipelines, Git integration , and BI development best practices.

• Lead requirement workshops, solution discussions, and architecture reviews.

• Provide technical leadership, code reviews, mentoring, and guidance to BI development teams.

• Present architecture recommendations, analytics solutions, and business insights to senior stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in BI, Data Warehousing, Analytics, or related technologies .

• Strong hands-on expertise in Power BI architecture and enterprise implementation .

• Advanced experience with DAX and Power Query .

• Strong expertise in Data Modeling and Dimensional Modeling .

• Experience designing Tabular Models and Semantic Layers .

• Strong SQL expertise.

• Experience with Power BI Service Administration and Governance .

• Hands-on experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) .

• Experience with CI/CD, Deployment Pipelines, and Git integration .

• Experience integrating Power BI with modern cloud data platforms.

• Strong architecture, stakeholder management, presentation, and technical leadership skills.

• Strong Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences analytics experience is mandatory.

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric .

• Power BI Copilot or other AI-enabled BI capabilities.

• Exposure to Generative AI or Conversational Analytics .

• Microsoft Power BI certification.

• Experience leading enterprise BI modernization initiatives.

• Strong consulting and client-facing background.
