CAS Accounting ManagerLocation: La Jolla, Woodland Hills, Beverly Hills, CA, or 100% RemotePosition Type: Full-Time, PermanentDepartment: Client Advisory Services (CAS)Compensation: $115,000 - $130,000 per yearImportant Requirement: Candidates must have progressive public accounting experience to be considered for this role.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced CAS Accounting Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing advanced bookkeeping and accounting tasks while managing client relationships and financial statement engagements. As a manager, you will play a critical role in fine-tuning firm processes, managing workflow distribution, leading firm growth initiatives, and serving as a key mentor to our supervisors, seniors, staff, and interns.Key ResponsibilitiesEngagement & Financial Review: Manage financial statement engagements and client relationships. Maintain proficiency in reviewing accounting files, general ledger analysis, book-to-tax reconciliations, GAAP, income tax basis, and other special purpose frameworks.Compliance Oversight: Oversee and review Form 1099s, Payroll Tax Returns, Sales Tax returns, Business Property Statements, and Business Licenses, providing tax audit representation as needed.Workflow & Scheduling: Manage workflow distribution and weekly scheduling for supervisors, seniors, and staff to maximize firm efficiency.Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead staff meetings, facilitate in-house training, provide direct performance feedback, and actively participate in our internal mentoring and leadership programs.Firm & Business Development: Assist in the billing process by analyzing WIP (Work in Progress), lead client service meetings, and develop new business through strategic networking and marketing initiatives.Cross-Functional Support: Conduct intermediate technical research to resolve client issues and provide cross-functional support to our Tax department as needed.RequirementsExperience: Substantial, progressive experience within public accounting, specifically managing client accounting services or outsourced bookkeeping workflows.Education & Credentials: Bachelor of Accountancy required.
