HR Recruiter - Entry-Level

Status: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt | Pay: $22.00-$23.00/Hour | Schedule: Monday, Wednesday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. ; Tuesday 7:45 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.The Recruitment Specialist serves as a key liaison between Mercy House and prospective employees throughout the employee's life cycle: recruitment, orientation, and internal transitions.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Candidate SourcingUpdate and post job descriptions on various job boards and platforms to attract qualified candidatesMaintain updated candidate applicant information on tracking systems and maintain accurate and up-to-date recordsConduct phone screenings to assess candidates’ qualifications, experience, and cultural fitSchedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managersConduct reference and background checks and ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation and regulationsParticipate in recruitment marketing initiatives to enhance the organization’s reputation as an employer of choiceAttend job fairs quarterlyTeam SupportPresent company policies, procedures, and culture during new hire orientation sessionsAssist in extending job offers and the onboarding processUpdating new hire documents as necessaryMiscellaneousAttend staff meetings and quarterly trainingsEnhance job performance by applying up-to-date professional and technical knowledge gained by attending seminars and conferences and reviewing professional publicationsTake initiative; demonstrate strong decision-making and organizational skillsInitiate best practices; develop efficiency improvementsParticipate in special projects and other duties as assigned by your supervisorEducation and ExperienceProficiency in applicant tracking systems and other HR-related softwareGeneralReliable transportation requiredA flexible work schedule including some schedule changes, some weekends, and evening shifts to meet the department’s needsDetail-oriented and computer proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel requiredKnowledge of recruitment best practices, including sourcing strategies, candidate selection, and employment legislationExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentPhysical RequirementsAnswer and respond to phone queriesProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times #J-18808-Ljbffr
