Senior Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Bakersfield, California. This position will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting activities, and helping guide sound fiscal decisions across the organization. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical ability, hands-on accounting expertise, and the confidence to manage complex reconciliations, compliance matters, and budgeting support in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:• Lead day-to-day accounting activities to ensure financial operations are completed accurately and on schedule.• Produce financial reports and analytical summaries that support leadership decision-making and operational planning.• Develop revenue estimates and expense forecasts to help the organization manage financial performance effectively.• Support budget preparation and ongoing budget tracking by reviewing variances and identifying areas that need attention.• Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts, resolving discrepancies and maintaining the integrity of financial data.• Assist with year-end audit coordination by preparing schedules, documentation, and responses for auditors.• Research and address audit exceptions, compliance concerns, and account variances in a timely manner.• Prepare and review tax filings across federal, state, local, and other applicable jurisdictions.• Contribute to improvements in accounting processes, procedures, and related financial programs while providing guidance to less experienced accounting staff.
