Territory Sales Manager

Summary/objective The Territory Sales Manager at Viably is an intelligent, independent, organized, and self-driven individual who, with guidance from the Senior Area General Manager, develops, executes, manages, and reports on ongoing sales and customer support efforts within a specified regional territory. They are deeply familiar with the Viably product portfolio, customer applications, and waste and recycling markets. The Sales Manager takes a consultative approach to helping clients understand their challenges and see new opportunities. They educate clients on best practices and technologies to help them achieve greater success. They are constantly focused on delivering only quality sales service while self-prioritizing responsibilities and tasks to maintain a profitable and productive sales pipeline. Essential functions
• Multi-state territory assignment and responsibility for a significant number of products and customers.
• Partner closely with Viably's existing sales team to maximize sales and promote market expansion.
• Increase sales to end-users emphasizing technical advantages over competitor products.
• Facilitate stationary equipment sales while working closely with sales engineers and project managers.
• Develop strategies and tactical plans to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets for region.
• Analyze market data to identify new or expanded areas of business opportunity.
• Provide first-line product and customer support to become the main liaison between manufacturer and customer.
• Work with existing customers to enable ongoing preventative maintenance inspections and equipment training.
• Utilize Salesforce CRM, Acumatica, and other software tools to streamline the sales process, enable accurate reporting and improve customer support.
• Supply ongoing technical information and advice on Viably product portfolio to customers.
• Provide machine demonstrations, set ups and customer trainings on equipment and components across a variety of applications to support sales.
• Effectively communicate customer needs, activities, opportunities, market needs and other relevant information to Senior Area Sales Manager and team on a consistent basis.
• Prepare and conduct promotional and marketing activities to support sales and customer support efforts. Competencies

• Able to develop, a thorough knowledge and understanding of the applications of Viably's products.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to confidently convey information to both technically trained and non-technical customers.
• Professional presentation skills suited to present Viably's solutions and product differentiation effectively at various customer organizational levels.
• High-level interpersonal skills sufficient to guide and negotiate with potential customers toward recommended product solutions.
• Self-motivated, self-directed and self-managed with excellent organizational and time management skills to perform productively with minimal supervision.
• Inherent perseverance to consistently engage and follow up with open leads to convert and close them into won sales opportunities.
• Demonstrated achievement in sales, business development or product management.
• Ability to research and absorb new, unfamiliar industry and product information with the ability to convert it verbally and visually into effective sales information or presentations that engage customers in our brand voice. Travel required Extensive travel required throughout territory. May involve exposure to varying weather conditions, depending on the nature and location of travel. Work may be performed in stores, offices, warehouses, waste facility sites, or outdoor environments. May also include travel to company headquarters, conferences, tradeshows, and other company or industry events. Must be able to travel frequently, including driving long distances and/or flying, sometimes on short notice. Travel may involve overnight stays and extended periods away from home. Required education and experience Bachelor's degree in business or related field from an accredited institution is preferred. Experience with a Customer Relationship Management system (CRM), preferably Salesforce.com. How We Will Support You:
