Deputy City Attorney – Real Estate & Finance Team Full-time, Permanent Exempt, Salary $155,428 – $272,350. About the Office The San Francisco City Attorney’s Office provides legal services to the City and County of San Francisco. About the Real Estate & Finance Team The team includes 11 attorneys, two paralegals, and three legal secretaries. It manages real estate transactions, debt financing, and other business transactions for the City. Position and Responsibilities Negotiate real estate contracts and structure transactions on behalf of City departments. Advise clients on contract compliance and applicable legal requirements. Appear at Board of Supervisors and Commission hearings related to contracts and projects. Provide general real estate transactional and development support for the team. Minimum Qualifications Licensed to practice law in California. Desired Qualifications Five or more years of real estate management, transactional, and development experience. Excellent drafting, negotiating, oral and written communication, and legal analytical skills. Understanding of government legislation, operations and regulations. Ability to work independently, collaboratively, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines. Commitment to diversity and public service.
