Hiring for an Accounts Payable Specialist! Weekly pay + Benefits + PTO MUST HAVE Skills 2+ years of accounting, invoicing, or financial experience. (open to accounting office, bank teller, or any finance experience) Experience in accounts payable and financial systems. HS Diploma or GED Proficiency in file management, invoicing, and data entry. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience with accounting software and accounts payable systems. Job Description This role involves processing various invoices, ensuring they receive approval from the appropriate parties and that expense code allocations are accurate. The position requires determining the correct company and account from which payments will be made, completing employee expense reimbursements, and managing credit card transaction receipts and allocations. The specialist will also maintain vendor files, assist in annual 1099 reporting, and process deductible invoicing. Additionally, the role involves printing weekly claims checks and reports, preparing daily cash transfer sheets, and providing backup support as needed. Responsibilities Process a variety of invoices ensuring accuracy and approval. Determine the correct company and account for payments. Complete employee expense reimbursements. Obtain and allocate receipts for credit card transactions. Maintain files for vendors, W-9s, invoices, purchase orders, and reports. Assist in annual 1099 reporting. Process and print deductible invoicing and follow up on past due amounts. Print weekly claims checks and reports. Prepare daily cash transfer sheets for the Accountant. Serve in a backup role, processing monthly payments to insurers and reconciling statements. Reconcile agency billings to ensure invoicing accuracy. Assist with special Accounting Department projects and data verification. Work Environment The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM in a smaller, cubicle-style office.
