Join our dynamic team as a Tax Auditor I and be a vital part of ensuring fair tax compliance in our community! In this role, you'll conduct professional Sales and Use Tax Compliance Audits, issue tax assessments, and collect unpaid taxes, all while providing valuable education to taxpayers on their obligations and filing methods. Incumbents in this class should possess a general understanding of accounting practices and procedures as well as pertinent tax laws and audit standards. Incumbents in this class typically have intermediate to entry-level related work experience and may be considered to be in a training capacity for the first six months. Hiring salary is dependent upon experience. The hiring range is $34.50 - $38.33 / hourly. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with major coursework in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field. Must possess a valid Colorado Driver's License. An equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.

• Personal Computer Employee Purchase Program: To encourage the development of employee computer skills, the City offers an interest-free loan to you for the purchase of computer hardware (including a Desktop or Laptop) and software. The employee must have successfully completed their 6-month Introductory Period for eligibility.

• Golf Course Green Fees: Employees can play the City's award-winning Buffalo Run Golf Course at a rate of $9.00 for 9-holes or $18.00 for 18-holes. Employees can also purchase golf merchandise at discounted prices.
