About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a strong background in commercial construction and real estate development to lead its financial strategy and ensure long-term fiscal stability. The CFO will be a key strategic partner to the executive leadership team, overseeing corporate financial planning, multi-location construction accounting, treasury, and risk management. This role requires a visionary and growth-oriented leader who can drive financial strategies, capital allocation, and business growth in collaboration with the CEO, COO, and regional leadership. The successful candidate will also be responsible for real estate portfolio management, including modeling project proformas, evaluating land transactions, and managing capital and lender relations to secure project financing. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a minimum of 12 years' of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years' in a senior financial role within the commercial construction and/or real estate development industries. A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration is required, with a preference for an MBA or active CPA license. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of construction-specific financial concepts, such as WIP schedules, over/under billings, and multi-state tax compliance. The CFO must be an approachable and highly relational communicator, capable of bridging the gap between field operations and corporate finance. Key qualifications include a proven track record in financial operations, project controls, and risk management, as well as the ability to ensure regulatory compliance across all operating territories.
