Aircraft Technician A - Flightline

Job Overview Airbus Helicopters is looking for an Aircraft Technician A - Flightline to join our Flight Line team based in Columbus, MS. Responsibilities Perform basic assembly, installation, repair or replacement of aircraft components and systems in the manufacture, maintenance or refurbishing of aircraft and function check of components. Assist with operational checks of complete systems to verify proper functioning of components and systems. Assist in the diagnosis of malfunctions or failures and make adjustments, repairs or replacements of parts or components. Aircraft build‑up/texting System troubleshooting Compliance Physical Requirements Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30 lbs (14 kgs) daily. Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 60 lbs (27 kgs) daily. Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools daily. Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer weekly. Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving daily. Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor daily. Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice as needed. Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, including uneven surfaces, daily. PPE required: Safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators/masks, and/or protective gloves as required by site and/or customer site. Administrative position only PPE: steel‑toed shoes and appropriate hearing/eye protection when visiting the shop floor. Qualifications H/S diploma or equivalent. Minimum four (4) years or more aviation maintenance experience. 10% domestic and international travel. Background in aviation maintenance. US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license).
