As a Sterile Processing Tech, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of surgical instrumentation and ensuring the highest standards of sterilization are met. Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating assignments and communicating with the OR charge nurse/practice leader about operational needs
• Ensuring the proper operation of autoclave units and running biological and chemical tests
• Maintaining CRCST certification and assisting with continued education and in-services
• Ordering supplies and maintaining inventory
• Inspecting gas and steam autoclaves and reporting malfunctions
• Applying aseptic techniques and performing general cleaning of department areas
• Assisting with orientation for new personnel and participating in performance improvement activities
• Restocking supply carts and reconciling charges as necessary
• Handling and caring for instruments, tray preparation, and special procedure items
• Demonstrating strong work ethic and superb interpersonal skills

Requirements for this position include:

• High school graduate (or equivalent) required
• Registered Central Service Technician certification required
• Minimum of 6 months experience in central sterile processing
• Need 1 year experience in setting
