Travel Radiation Therapist
American Traveler
American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT (T) certification and at least 1 year of experience for a day-shift hospital assignment.
Requirements
- Active ARRT (T) certification required
- State license required if applicable, compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required
- Experience with CBCT/kV/mV imaging, beam modifying/positioning, and electron field treatment
- Preferred experience with SRS, respiratory gating, Tomo Therapy, and dosimetry
- Preferred experience treating benign brain tumors, heterotopic bone, keloids, Hodgkin's and Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, pancreatic cancer, and testicular cancer
- 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
Responsibilities
- Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule, approximately 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM with start time varying based on volume and machine schedule
- Epic charting system preferred
- Uses Elekta Infinity and Varian 21 ex/ix treatment units
- Utilizes Impac MOSAIQ
- Deliver radiation therapy treatments across adult acute care and outpatient settings
- May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted up-front; minimal RTO is preferred
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
- Former Providence facility employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
- First-time travelers not considered for this position
