Patient Services Specialist

Description Barrow Brain and Spine is a physician‑owned specialty practice focused in the areas of neurosurgery and advanced spine care. The practice encompasses 27 neurosurgeons, three physiatrists and performs more than 8,000 surgeries each year. This globally recognized group directs the Neurosurgery Residency Program at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona and serves more than 21 000 patients per year. Responsibilities Prepare front office for daily activities. Warmly greet patients, guests, vendors, and visitors. Ensure that all patient paperwork, demographics, and insurance information is up to date and correct. Collect copay if necessary and issue receipt. Notify physician office and/or clinic staff of patient arrivals. Maintain accurate and timely patient information in AthenaOne and Phreesia databases. Answer telephones and transfer caller to appropriate staff member. Help create an extraordinary patient experience. Qualifications Prior experience in a medical office setting preferred but training is available. Compensation & Benefits Choice of two medical plans – HRA, HDHP/HSA options. Dental and Vision plan.
