Click on the link to learn more about Evonik from our employees: The Hub Manager will provide leadership and technical support to sustain & improve the Evonik plant operations in the Houston Area, including Pasadena, Deer Park & Bayport. There will be a heavy focus on improving site reliability and developing the service group(s) for the three sites while looking for cost optimization. This role will support projects and maintenance/reliability services as required for the sites in Houston and serve as the liaison between Houston sites and Engineering Americas. This role will oversee technical personnel of various disciplines as a service hub for the Houston plants. A primary responsibility is determining and fulfilling the staffing needs to help the plants meet compliance, reliability, and small capital projects. This role will evaluate current workflows and look for efficiency improvements and help build workflows for the team where none exists. This role will lead weekly meetings for the Houston Technical Team (HTT) and give directions on daily/weekly priorities. The role will support the team by ensuring proper timesheets, approve expenses, training, setting/achieving goals, approving imbedded contractor timesheets, assessing team needs (training, tools, software, etc.) and any other needs for the team to keep the team running smoothly. RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee the HTT team, promoting a safety-first, high-performance culture and managing daily team administration. Maintain regular communication with regional site management to identify service needs, gaps, and quality issues. Manage team development, succession planning, training, tools, supplies, expenses, PTO, and timesheets. Support maintenance and reliability programs, including Predictive/Preventive Maintenance and TPM initiatives. Oversee contractors and vendors, including qualification, performance, and participation in hiring. Ensure HTT compliance with Evonik policies, guidelines, training requirements, and company initiatives. Identify opportunities to standardize services, optimize costs, and leverage HTT capabilities across sites. Connect sites with subject matter experts and coordinate technical support as needed. Provide technical leadership for TAR/Maintenance activities, Mechanical Integrity topics, and small capital projects. Drive reliability improvements through best-practice sharing, technology solutions, regional initiatives, and system/process improvements. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred. 10+ years of relevant maintenance, reliability, or project management experience strongly preferred. Familiarity with SAP is preferred. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and competing responsibilities. Ability to manage effectively in a fast-changing environment. Experience managing a diverse group of technical subject matter experts. Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
