Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine
Our organization is on the lookout for a dedicated clinician/educator or physician scientist to join us as an Assistant Professor. This role involves providing care for patients in intensive care units at a leading medical center, with the added opportunity to participate in pulmonary clinics and consultative services.
About UsWe are proud to be recognized among the top research institutions in the nation, particularly in the Southern region. Our pulmonary and critical care medicine section is a collaborative team comprising 40 clinical and research faculty members. Our faculty deliver services at various healthcare facilities, including a prominent medical center, a general hospital, and a regional health care system. Together, these institutions support a training program that accommodates 14 pulmonary/critical care fellows.
Job Responsibilities- Provide in-house coverage for the CVSICU service, including both day and night shifts.
- Engage in patient care within intensive care units.
- Participate in pulmonary clinics and consultative services.
- Collaborate on research initiatives with various departments and centers, including Public Health, Immunology, Biomedical Engineering, and the Primate Center.
- MD or equivalent degree.
- Board certification or eligibility in pulmonary and critical care medicine.
- Strong commitment to clinical education and research.
This position involves a combination of day and night shifts to ensure comprehensive coverage for the CVSICU service.
