ASSISTANT PROFESSOR/ ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR -CLINICAL

Overview Title: ASSISTANT PROFESSOR/ ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR - CLINICAL Employee Type: Faculty Department: LSUNO Prosthodontics Campus Location: PROSTHODONTICS Responsibilities Provide learner-centered pre-doctoral level didactic, preclinical and clinical instruction in prosthodontics. Deliver clinical coverage in all aspects of prosthodontics and general dentistry. Apply and integrate digital dentistry, implant restorations, and conventional fixed and removable prosthodontics. Collaborate with all disciplines within the department and with other departments of the LSUHSC School of Dentistry. Participate in the faculty dental practice. Meet the position requirements including a DDS or DMD degree and a minimum of 3 years private practice experience in restorative dentistry. Demonstrate high skill in operative dentistry, fixed and removable prosthodontics, and implant restorations. Demonstrate interdisciplinary treatment planning and high-level esthetic dentistry knowledge. Minimum Qualifications Required Education: DDS/DMD Required Field of Study: General Dentistry Certifications or Licenses Required: Louisiana Dental License Number of years required to perform the job: 3 years private practice experience in restorative dentistry Type of experience required to perform the job: Applicant must be highly skilled in operative dentistry, fixed and removable prosthodontics and implant restorations; skilled at interdisciplinary treatment planning; experience with digital dentistry and esthetic dentistry is desired.
