Personal Banker Associate I

Personal Banker Associate I is a Financial Center position focused on using the consultative sales process to proactively identify and meet the financial needs of customers or prospects. Selected candidates will complete a 4‑8 week onboarding and education program, including rotations in operations and Sales & Service, and receive certification upon completion. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Use consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build a thorough customer profile and identify current and future financial needs. Maintain in-depth knowledge of Retail consumer and small business products/services and recommend solutions using the value proposition. Utilize CAMP and approved marketing tools to proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for periodic financial reviews. Primarily cross‑sell to existing customers and engage in outside sales activities such as Membership Advantage onsite presentations, business sales calls, community financial literacy events, etc., as directed. Establish close working relationships with assigned Business Partners (Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial, and Investment) and refer customers as appropriate. Consistently meet or exceed customer experience and individual/team production goals and enhance year‑over‑year revenue growth measured by the Financial Center P&L. Provide guidance to CSRs regarding the sales and referral process. Promote customer satisfaction with a friendly, helpful demeanor and professionalism. Act with confidence by answering customer questions and resolving issues. Maintain confidentiality of all business. Adhere to policies, including the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics. Follow established policies and procedures when opening/servicing the full range of Retail products. Participate in consumer loan and bankcard processes, owning sourced loans from application through closing. Participate in the opening/closing process of the Financial Center or Bank Mart as directed. Keep up to date on fraud mitigation procedures to reduce unnecessary risk or exposure. Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities College degree or work experience providing transferable skills, or a combination of education and experience. Experience in the financial industry preferred. Demonstrated ability to comfortably engage in sales activities designed to acquire new consumer households and small business customers and/or cross‑sell to established customers. Understanding of advanced math functions that support analysis of credit and financial information. Professional appearance and verbal/written communication skills. Working knowledge of Retail policies and procedures to exercise good judgment in decision making. Must register for the S.A.F.E. Act through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) at the time of employment. Working Conditions Normal office environment with extended computer screen use. The role requires travel within the affiliate for training, as well as flexibility to travel outside the affiliate for various classroom training sessions. Compensation Base salary reflects the range for this pay grade across the United States. Individual salaries within this range vary based on role, relevant skill set, experience, education, and geographic location.
