Overview Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) travel assignment in Herrin, IL. Start date: 09/21/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,635 to $2,704 per week with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift: Days, 10-hour shifts (7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.), four days per week. This perioperative role involves working in a surgical services setting with potential coverage across sites; circulating duties are required for heavy ortho, urology, spine, and robotic procedures. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,635–$2,704 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days; 10-hour shifts, 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m Start date: 09/21/2026 Setting: Perioperative/surgical services; cross-site coverage as needed On-call and float: Call requirements, and potential float to other facilities Responsibilities Circulate during heavy ortho, urology, spine, and robotic procedures; ensure sterile technique and proper equipment readiness Monitor patient status intraoperatively; recognize and report changes in patient condition to the surgical team Position, drape, and prepare the operative field; assist with instrument handling and room setup Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and scrub staff; verify counts and handle specimens as required Maintain accurate intraoperative documentation and ensure patient safety, comfort, and efficient workflow Willingness to float to other sites as needed and participate in on-call requirements as assigned Requirements Active Illinois Registered Nurse license Current CPR/BLS; ACLS certifications OR circulating experience, including exposure to heavy ortho, urology, spine, and robotic procedures Ability to circulate in a fast-paced surgical environment and operate across multiple sites as needed Availability for on-call duties and a 4-day work week with 10-hour shifts Certified to circulate; able to meet the department’s call and equipment needs Benefits and Support Guaranteed hours 24/7 recruiter and travel support Dedicated support throughout the assignment Cross-site coverage and on-call scheduling flexibility About Healthforce Healthforce is a nationwide travel healthcare staffing agency connecting travel nurses and allied health professionals with high-quality contract assignments across the United States.
