Senior EVS Associate Nights Terminal OR Cleaner

Job Title & Overview Primary City/State: Tucson, Arizona Department: Environmental Services Shift: Night (7:00PM‑3:30AM) Category: Facilities, Environmental Services, Culinary Sign‑On Bonus: $1,000 Location & Schedule Banner University Medical Center, 1625 N Campbell Ave, Tucson, AZ Full‑time night shift; weekend and holiday rotations required. Pay & Benefits Highlights Flat rate $1/hour weekend differential & 18% night differential when applicable. Responsibilities Dust, mop, scrub, disinfect, vacuum, and polish rooms according to department policy. Perform terminal cleaning of operating rooms and sterilization of procedural rooms. Conduct heavy cleaning and floor care such as carpet cleaning, hard‑floor stripping/refinishing, and special projects. Operate and maintain power cleaning equipment; respond to assigned cleaning service requests. Track and log all cleaning activities using computerized and paper‑based systems, maintaining infection‑control documentation. Execute specialty cleaning and infection‑control procedures in clinical areas, surgical suites, cath labs, and sterile rooms. Maintain cleanliness and operational function of cleaning equipment; report needed repairs. Assess environmental conditions to ensure the facility is neat, safe, and orderly; proactively address clutter and safety issues. Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to less experienced associates. Perform scheduled floor‑care procedures; calculate chemical quantities and mix ratios. Qualifications 1–2 years of diversified environmental‑service experience in a healthcare or institutional setting. Working knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and appropriate cleaning techniques for a healthcare environment. Basic math skills. Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to interpret and respond to instructions. Capacity to multi‑task and work amid frequent interruptions and changing priorities. Commitment to role‑model customer service, safe work practices, and infection‐control, including hand hygiene. Preferred Qualifications Basic computer skills. Prior experience with environmental‑service equipment and cleaning techniques. Additional related education or experience.
