Project Manager/Database Administrator 2 Location: Austin, TX 78751 Work Mode: Hybrid Duration: November 11 Months with Possible Extensions Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Project Manager 3 / Database & Data Warehouse professional to support the planning, development, implementation, maintenance, and performance of enterprise database and data warehouse systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with database management, data warehousing, ETL, data modeling, reporting tools, SQL, and enterprise databases. This role will work closely with both technical and business teams to ensure data integrity, performance, security, accessibility, and availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, implement, and maintain database and data warehouse solutions.
• Monitor database performance and identify opportunities for optimization and performance tuning.
• Support data warehouse and data mart development, including data modeling and data population.
• Develop logical and physical database models, including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and normalized data models.
• Work with developers, analysts, and business users to understand requirements and implement database changes.
• Manage data integrity, data standards, data definitions, and data dictionary requirements.
• Support ETL processes, data loading, data transformation, and database reorganization.
• Develop and maintain test database environments for applications.
• Support database backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and security procedures.
• Assist with database software installation, configuration, benchmarking, and threshold testing.
• Develop and support reporting and analytical solutions using enterprise reporting tools.
• Provide technical assistance to users and help resolve data and reporting issues.
• Evaluate requests for new data elements and incorporate approved changes into the shared data environment.
• Work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams while managing multiple priorities.
• Ensure database administration and data input/output interfaces comply with applicable EIR accessibility standards and support assistive technologies.
• Provide assistance to users when accessibility issues affect access to data or reports.
• Prepare technical documentation and communicate project status, issues, and recommendations clearly.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with database management systems, data warehouses, and decision-support tools.
• 5+ years of experience developing, implementing, and maintaining data warehouses and data marts.
• 5+ years of experience with Business Objects and/or similar reporting tools and building data dictionaries.
• Strong experience with database access tools and application delivery.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, SQL, and database design.
• Experience with Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and highly normalized data models.
• Experience with GUI-based ETL tools such as Informatica, IBM WebSphere DataStage, or similar technologies.
• Experience implementing enterprise databases such as Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, or similar technologies.
• Experience with analytical and reporting tools such as Business Objects, Cognos, Hyperion, MicroStrategy, or similar.
• Experience across the data warehouse implementation lifecycle, including business requirements, logical modeling, physical design, data sourcing, transformation, loading, SQL, and end-user reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities.
• Understanding of database benchmarking and performance testing techniques.
• Working knowledge of accessibility standards and assistive technologies, particularly for enterprise/data applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Database.
• Experience creating reports and dashboards using Power BI.
