Job Description
Surgical Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in surgical technology and possess a comprehensive understanding of various surgical procedures.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room for surgeries.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons and surgical teams to facilitate surgical procedures.
• Ensure the sterility of the surgical environment by adhering to established protocols.
• Assist with positioning and draping patients for surgical procedures.
• Handle surgical instruments and supplies safely and efficiently.
• Demonstrate proficiency in operating specialized surgical equipment, including Da Vinci and Mako robotic systems.
• Participate in the cleaning and turnover of operating rooms between surgical cases.

Qualifications

• Active certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Minimum of two years of experience in surgical technology is required, with a background in ortho, general, urology, ENT, OBGYN, including C-sections.
• Experience with Da Vinci and Mako equipment is mandatory.
• Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic surgical environment is essential.

Additional Requirements

• Documentation of vaccinations and health screenings will be required, including MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Covid-19, Tdap, and TB.
• Complete required competency testing for specialty areas annually.
• Must undergo a background check and participate in screening protocols as necessary.
• Participate in necessary training sessions, including CPI or MOAB, if not already certified.
