Job Title: PCB Assembler I

Location: Lockport, NY

Employment Type: Temporary

Industry: Semiconductor/Industrial and Medical Product

Compensation: $18-$24/hour Depending on experience

Schedule:  Mon-Fri (7am - 3:30pm)

About the Opportunity:

Performs basic and routine electronic assembly of components to Printed Circuit Boards (PCB's).  Assembles electronic components to meet production schedules and performance standards.  Duties and tasks are standardized but what is performed will vary day to day.

What You'll Do:

  • Understands and follows all safety requirements.
  • Understands and follows ISO practices and procedures.
  • Considers the impact of quality on the customers when making decisions. Expected to train other employees in established processes if needed.
  • Initiates and contributes to corrective actions.
  • Ensures all tasks are performed accurately and completely.
  • Must be effectively cross-trained on multiple product platforms.
  • Initiates and contributes to improving processes, lead times, through-put and cost. Understands Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge to include Word and Outlook.
  • Proficient in all pertinent SAP applications.

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

-High school education or equivalent.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math functions.
  • Soldering skills preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic electro/mechanical assembly skills.
  • Component identification and the ability to read technical assembly documentation required. Basic PC knowledge.
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred.
  • Ability to effectively work in a team environment.
  • Models positive and professional work ethics.
  • Considers the impact to quality when making decisions.
  • Previous experience in electro/mechanical assembly preferred.
  • Proven ability and experience maintaining flexibility and being able to adapt in a team environment. Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices.

  • Carrying without assistance 30 LBS. Max Pushing 50 LBS
  • Pulling 50 LBS
