Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments tailored to older adults, taking into consideration their distinct cognitive, physical, and social needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and family therapy, specifically designed to address the complexities of geriatric psychiatric conditions.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies involving elderly patients, ensuring timely and effective care.

• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and the resources available within the community to foster informed decision-making.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at AdvantageCare, your primary focus will be on the elderly population experiencing various psychiatric disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 75,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
