Work Environment\n

This position is structured as a remote role, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance. While team collaborations may occur online, regular check-ins and supervision will ensure a cohesive environment. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team focused on geriatric care, leveraging technology to maintain effective communication and deliver quality services from the comfort of your space. Regular working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth mental health assessments for elderly clients, identifying their specific emotional and psychological needs.

• Deliver both individual and group counseling sessions focused on addressing the emotional challenges associated with aging and other life transitions.

• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to formulate comprehensive, individualized care plans that resonate with each client's unique history and circumstances.

• Educate and empower families as well as care staff on effective strategies to enhance the mental, emotional, and social well-being of elderly individuals.

• Facilitate grief and loss counseling for clients and their loved ones, providing essential support during challenging end-of-life situations.

• Implement cognitive stimulation interventions and other mental health activities aimed at fostering mental acuity and enhancing the quality of life for our elderly clients.

This role primarily focuses on compassionate care for seniors facing a range of mental health concerns, from grief and anxiety to complex co-occurring disorders. Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential in Florida.

Compensation and Benefits\n
