Caregiver – CNA/HCA | Flexible, Variable-HourLocation: Bremerton, WA | Serving Kitsap & Surrounding Service AreasAbout the PositionGenerations Home Care is looking for dependable, compassionate caregivers to join our team and provide quality in-home care to clients throughout our service areas.We welcome CNA/HCA-certified caregivers as well as caregivers who are not yet certified but are willing to complete the required Washington State HCA training pathway. Experience is preferred, but not required.This is a variable-hour position, which means your schedule is based on your availability, client needs, and the shifts currently available in your preferred service area.We offer available shifts to our caregivers, and you choose the shifts you are able to accept. Required annual CNA/HCA continuing education is provided online at no cost, and training shifts and additional education are paid at the base rate.PayYour pay depends on your certification status and the length of the client visit.Certified CNA/HCA1-hour visit: $42/visit2–3 hour visit: $31/hourNAR / Uncertified Caregiver1-hour visit: $33/visit2–3 hour visit: $26/hourAdditional PayCouple Care: Additional $3/hourGap Pay: $17.13/hour for qualifying travel between shifts of 90 minutes or lessMileage: $0.76/mile when driving a client during a shift with your own vehicle and required documentationWhat You'll DoAs a caregiver, you may assist clients with:Bathing, dressing, grooming, and other activities of daily livingMobility, ambulation, and transfersHoyer lift and other appropriate transfer assistanceMeal preparationLight housekeeping and laundryMedication reminders according to agency policies and proceduresCompanionship and emotional supportAccurate and timely care documentationCommunicating with clients, families, and the care teamUsing agency technology for clocking in/out, task tracking, and documentationMaintaining a safe and clean environmentFollowing infection control and safety proceduresProviding respectful, compassionate, and professional careRequirementsCurrent Washington State CNA or HCA certification, OR willingness and ability to complete the required HCA training pathwayCurrent Food Worker Card, or willingness to obtain oneHigh school diploma or equivalentCurrent CPR certification or willingness to obtain certificationAbility to pass a criminal background checkReliable transportationValid driver's licenseAbility to reliably travel to clients within our current service areasStrong communication skillsDependability and reliabilityCompassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help othersKindness and care are our top priorities.How Our Scheduling WorksThis is a variable-hour, client-based position rather than a traditional fixed schedule.We have different clients with different needs, schedules, and shift lengths.
