A well-known Kansas City company seeks a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Administrator to join the team. Great benefits!

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for employees accurately and on time
• Enter, maintain, and process information into the system regarding payroll
• When needed, make changes to employees' hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses, and other compensation
• Maintain and update all paid leave and holiday, deductions, withholdings, and address changes
• Analyze payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Ensure union payroll wages, deductions, taxes, benefits, and job costing are correct
• Issue or reissue replacement checks or direct deposits when a payroll error occurs
• Prepare and submit reports on payroll metrics for management review.
• Address employee inquiries regarding payroll discrepancies or concerns promptly.

Qualifications

• Proven 5+ years of experience in payroll administration
• Experience with ADP is preferred, but not required
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets effectively.
• Familiarity with technical accounting principles related to payroll processing.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
