Temporary/On-Call Catering ServersMeriwether Godsey is looking for temporary/on-call catering servers; individuals who enjoy providing our guests with the finest food and drink, accompanied by an attentive and positive attitude at Sweet Briar College in Amherst, VA.Temporary/On-CallMust be available to work: 7am-3pm OR 4pm-10pm (weekdays & weekends)$16-$18 per hour (based on experience)What You Will Do:Set up tables, linens, chairs, and serving stations for full-service banquet eventsGreet and welcome guests, and respond to specific requests in a courteous mannerServe and replenish beverages and foods in the designated order and quickly remove dishes and utensils at the end of each course, meal, or functionPerform cleaning tasks and breakdown of service; maintain high standards of safety and cleanlinessReset banquet areas as specified by Management to ensure readiness for other functions.What You Need:High School Diploma or equivalentPrevious catering and/or serving experience requiredExceptional customer service skillsExcellent communication and good organizational skillsFlexibility: the ability to switch between locations and job dutiesAbility to stand/move about for long periods of time and lift 50 lbs.Ability to handle high-volume customersReliable TransportationAbility to work nights and weekends on an on-call as-needed basisWhat You Will Get:Competitive Pay, Uniforms and MealsMeriwether Godsey offers significant opportunities for growth and career advancement.
