The position requires knowledge of process operations, quality systems and a safety mindset. The position supplements and supports ongoing efforts of continuous improvement of all plant processes/operation.Primary Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):Move railcars in and out of unloading station using railcar tuggerUnloading of railcars into the proper storage tankReceiving incoming raw materialsMonitor coal milling operations and ensure adjustments are made as neededOperate blending equipment to process preapproved customer ordersAssist with maintenance tasks as neededPerform clean up duties to ensure a safe and comfortable work environmentOperate forklift as neededLoad and unload bulk pneumatic trucksPerform all other work as deemed necessary by plant managerMust be able to lift 50# from floor to waist.Must be able to work in all weather conditions.Must be able to climb stairs and rung ladders and not afraid of heights.Computer knowledge very helpfulContinuous Improvement/LeanActs as resource and champion for department continuous improvement activities (Suggestion Program, 5S, Kaizen, TPM, problem solving, etc.).QualificationsOther Duties & Responsibilities - Operator will be required to assist in all other areas of plant clean up, maintenance projects and clerical responsibilities as required.Qualifications/Requirements - Must be very safety orientated for themselves and others. Be responsible for his/her actions and willing to learn and work on their own. Can work with/cooperate and get along with others. Computer knowledge a plus. Travel for coursework or education could be required on a very infrequent basis. Some opportunity for travel could be available if desired to assist other plants within the network.Working Conditions:Manufacturing setting – warehouse, production facility, rail car unloading and sand conveyor. Working in all outdoor elements is required.Work Hours:Hourly, Monday – Friday. Standard 40 hours per week. Occasional opportunity for OTSafety Training:Required training will be given on site.
