Overview Pediatric Anesthesiologist W-2 at ECU Health Medical Center’s Maynard’s Children’s Hospital in Greenville, NC. Maynard’s is part of ECU Health Medical Center, a 200-bed facility with a Level IV NICU and 71 beds. With a 29-county referral center for pediatric surgery, the hospital offers high acuity cases and a large volume of pediatric anesthesia (~4,000 cases per year). The role also involves maintaining adult skills and mentoring staff. Case Specifics The position provides anesthesia for infants, children, and adolescents in surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures. Cases include routine and complex general surgery, neurosurgery, craniofacial surgery, orthopedics, ENT, urology, transplants, cardiac (bedside PDA), regional anesthesia, and off‑site procedures such as radiology, cardiac cath lab, audiology, pulmonary, GI, oncology, and radiation treatments. Schedule and Call Flexible schedule tailored to family needs. Call shifts are mainly pediatric, averaging 1–2 days per week with 40–45 clinical hours. Occasional overnight in‑house shifts with pre/post‑call days off.
