Job Title: ICU Float Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night and Day Rotation Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 4 years in ICU required License: Current Registered Nurse License in California Certifications: BLS (AHA) ACLS NIHSS Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Travel experience required Description: The ICU Float Nurse will provide care to critically ill patients across various campuses. This role requires a strong foundation in critical care nursing. The nurse will float between multiple facilities as needed. Floating will be primarily within ICU and step-down units. Responsibilities include managing complex patients and providing direct nursing care. The nurse must demonstrate proficiency in various critical care procedures. Weekend rotation is required, and there is no on-call duty involved. The nurse will receive notification two hours prior to shift start regarding the location assignment. All candidate references must be obtained within the last year. Compliance documentation must be submitted before the start of the role.
