Cloud Project Manager

Role Description

As a Project Manager, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our federal government customer. You will play a key role in supporting a multi‑cloud technology transformation that strengthens the customer’s ability to deliver secure, modern, and efficient digital services.

• Develop and maintain project scope, work plans, and timelines, ensuring alignment with business objectives, stakeholder expectations, and regulatory compliance.
• Support day‑to‑day project coordination, task tracking, and schedule management across multi‑cloud modernization workstreams.
• Coordinate between technical teams (cloud architects, DevOps, network, security, data engineering), business stakeholders, and clients to ensure seamless integration of cloud platforms.
• Drive the delivery of high‑quality project documentation, risk and issue management, and continuous improvement practices to help the team address challenges quickly and effectively.
• Monitor deliverables, conduct reviews, and use feedback to improve processes and outcomes.
• Utilize project management tools, cloud modernization concepts, and standard PM methodologies to support consistent, transparent project execution.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, IT or Project Management.
• Certifications: PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) required, Cloud platform specific certifications preferred (AWS, Azure, Google or Oracle).
• Experience: 5+ years of related experience.
• Technical skills: Familiarity with cloud transformation efforts, IT modernization concepts, and standard project management tools.
• Security clearance level: Public Trust (or ability to obtain).

Requirements

• Timeline: This is a contingent position expected to start in late summer of 2026.
• Work will be remote, with some travel.
