Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Service Manager to join our team at 3350 @ Alterra Apartments in Hyattsville, MD. The ideal candidate will have experience with carpentry, appliance repair, heat pumps, plumbing, apartment turnover, and punch-out, along with strong customer service and team leadership skills.

Your Responsibilities:

• Prioritizes and assigns maintenance requests, coordinating staff schedules.
• Manages inventory, purchasing, and budget control for maintenance materials.
• Maintains accurate maintenance records, logs, and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Conducts daily inspections, performs proactive repairs, and responds to resident maintenance requests.
• Oversees move-ins, move-outs, and contract maintenance services.
• Complete other duties as assigned or requested.

What you offer:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required for daily onsite use.
• Minimum of 18 months experience in apartment maintenance.
• CFC Type II or Universal Certification and heat pump experience preferred.
• Must be available for after-hours emergency maintenance calls, including nights and weekends.
• Basic computer skills required.
